LONGSWORD
Stephan’s preferred weapon on stage + screen is the longsword. Versatile, epic, fantastical, and a little messy - the longsword is as gritty as it is majestic.
This video is the final, edited version of Stephan and Iain Yarbrough’s fight from tne NYCSS Summer Intensive 2023, choreographed by Jonathan Strayer.
SABER
Stephan began learning Saber in the Summer of 2023. The eloquence, pomp, and poise of saber work is a technical departure from the longsword experience.

CHAIN + FLEXIBLE
Stephan’s new favorite weapon of choice. Flexible weapon work is like meditation - you have to listen to the weapon. It’s not going to go anywhere it doesn’t want to!

KNIFE
Stephan recently discovered how fun a knife fight can be. It’s gritty, messy, and quick. And it looks GREAT on camera!
